Reporting your Credits
How do My Credits Get Reported?
After each module you will see a green arrow indicating you have completed the course. You must click on the MARK COMPLETE link underneath the green arrow.
How long does it take for my credits to show up in the DBPR records?
From 24 to 72 hours, depending on internet traffic in the state database.
How often does Gray Systems report My courses?
At the end of each business day
How do I know when the DBPR has received My Courses?
We recommend that you sign up to communicate ONLINE with the department: www.myfloridalicense.com
You must establish your online enrollment and supply them with a username and password; thereafter you can get in to do such things as view your continuing education credits, pay your license fee, and change your address or other information.
To check on your REQUIRED/COMPLETED/SHORTFALL credits:
log into your DBPR profile: www.myfloridalicense.com
• Click “MY ACCOUNT”
• Log on with Username/Password
• Click your license number under “Licenses linked to my online account”
• Click “View My Continuing Education“
If there is a shortfall of hours 72 hours AFTER you have successfully completed all hours of education with Gray Systems. Please give us a call or email us and we will get it fixed Immediately.
If there is NO shortfall, then you will need to wait until the DBPR sends your renewal notices out via email to make your online payment to renew your license through the next renewal cycle.
From there you will be able to access your account anytime to check on continuing education or pay your fees and update your address, etc.

When you are ready to end your session you just close out the web browser.
Your Time will be Automatically Recorded & You can Come Back into the Course at Your Convenience and Begin where You Left Off.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who needs to take continuing education credits?
Each person who is certified or registered by the Construction Industry Licensing Board must, as a condition of each renewal of the certificate or registration, obtain at least 14 classroom or interactive distance learning hours of continuing education in one or more courses from a continuing education provider approved by the Board.
What if I’ve only had my license for one year?
If your license was issued less than 12 months prior to August 31st of the renewal years, you do not owe any continuing education. If your license was issued more than 1 year, but less than 2 years, prior to August 31st of the renewal year, you owe 7 hours of general credits of continuing education. Take one day of class or 7 CILB approved hours ONLINE with us to fulfill the requirement.
Who does not need continuing education?
Contractors who have only had their license less than 12 months prior to August 31st of the renewal years. We’ll see you next season!
When do I have to renew my license?
- All electrical ECLB contractors have to renew the license by August 31st of even numbered years.
- All certified CILB contractors have to renew the license by August 31, of even numbered years.
- All registered CILB contractors have to renew the license by August 31, of odd numbered years
